Privacy Policy
Edison is built to analyze YouTube channels, not the people using it. Here is exactly what we collect, why we need it, and what we never do.
01 · Core Principles
No Surveillance
We do not track your browsing history, sell your profile, or use pixel trackers from ad networks.
Encrypted at Rest
Your tokens and reports are encrypted at rest. We store them solely so you can access your own history.
No AI Training
We do not use your prompts, uploads, or chats to train proprietary AI models. Ever.
02 · Google API Services
Edison's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Accessed
When you authenticate your Google Account, we request access to your YouTube channel data, performance metrics via the YouTube Analytics API, and video metadata via the YouTube Data API.
Data Usage
The data is used exclusively to generate competitive performance reports, analyze video retention against industry benchmarks, and provide actionable recommendations. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
Data Sharing
To generate reports, we securely transmit necessary context to AI providers (e.g., Google Vertex AI). These providers act as processors on our behalf, are prohibited from retaining your data, and cannot use it to train their own models. We do not sell your data.
Data Storage & Protection
Authenticated tokens, chat history, and generated reports are encrypted at rest and in transit. We restrict internal access and use secure infrastructure (Linode VPS) to prevent unauthorized access.
Retention & Deletion
We do not store your raw YouTube data — no videos, metadata, or raw analytics. We only store the final generated reports so you can review past research. You can delete reports anytime, revoke access via your Google Security Settings, or email us for full account deletion.
03 · Operational Processing
Payments
Your email is stored to allow login. We use Paddle for payment processing — Edison never sees or stores your card number. We only receive payment confirmation.
04 · Your Rights
You retain full ownership of your data. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.
